by GL_Support, 7 days agoThe U.S. is now in Daylight Saving Time. Due to this you may need to change your personal or guild timezone settings.
The change is as follows. If you are in the Eastern Timezone and you follow DST then your timezone is now -4 GMT. More info and more timezone are here:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=179
How to Change Guild Settings
The Guild Timezone is set in the Guild Admin area using the link that says "Guild Settings" on the left of the main Admin page. On the page that link leads you to is an edit form for the timezone.
How to change personal timezeon
Your profile timezone is on the page linked at the top right of the page when you are logged in. About 2/3 of the way down the page are the timzeone settings.
The need to make this adjustment will be removed in the 7.0 release.

by GL_Support, 8 days agoIn the upcoming Version 7.0 release we have streamlined the new user registration process a lot!
The primary changes are:
1. More Ajax form validation of form fields
2. Full client side form validation
3. More visual cues
4. Significantly less to fill out.
---- a. We've removed the PlayXpert registration
---- b. We've removed the first and last name questions.
---- c. We've changed the secret questions into an option on your account not at registration.
5. Larger form field text = better readability
6. Error message streamlining
7. Other more subtle changes
The end result is something that looks like this:

by GL_Support, 17 days agoWe outgrew a table field sooner than expected and we had to do some emergency maintenance to enlarge the field.
We are going to review all fields during the backup downtime tomorrow and make sure we have a handle on their growth rate and appropriate sizing.
Resizing those tables means that the data is no longer "warm" in the system. It may take a little while for caches to warm back up and for site speeds to be returned to their normal snappy selves, but they will do so after 30-45 minutes max.
Thank you for your patience.
