Patch Notes - 2/2/12
by GL_Slater, 21 days agoEDIT
As of this morning, our second sprint is completed with new treats for all the good GL-ers!
Like with the first sprint, a lot of our work the past couple weeks has been more behind-the-scenes - database improvements, bug fixes and other performance tweaks to provide better service to our users.
Updates
-LotRO signatures have been updated to reflect Rise of Isengard stats
-WoW signatures have been updated to reflect new race/class combinations
-Raid Progression widget has been updated for Age of Conan raids
-Icons for missing raids in the calendar have been implemented
-A few typos have been corrected
Tutorial Videos
-While not technically a part of the sprint, our tutorial videos are being updated to reflect recent changes to functionality. So far there's the Permissions tab and the Recruiting tab videos, but stay tuned for more!
Multi-Domain Support
-Users can now host their site on a number of domains within the Guild Launch network! At the moment, only swtorhost.com is available, but more will be implemented in the future.
This can be changed in the same way as a subdomain or a guild name in the Guild Site Settings area of the Admin menu.
The Guild Life
-The Guild Life ( http://www.theguildlife.com ) is getting overhauled! Right now we've implemented some new code to make the search function more robust on Find a Site, but stay tuned for more exciting changes.
Affiliate Program
-We have implemented an Affiliate Program! You can earn money from friends as they set up subscriptions on sites! More information can be found here: http://www.guildlaunch.com/affiliate
ORIGINAL
Tomorrow will be the end of our second sprint, and while (like with the first sprint) there were a lot of behind-the-scenes updates, I think you'll like what we've got in store after the big reveal tomorrow morning!

Recent Achievement Display
by GL_Slater, 43 days agoIn the near future, you may notice that recent achievements are not displaying. This is intentional - they have been shut off!
"Shut off?!" you say, "But GL_Slater, I need those achievements!"
Fear not, theoretically hysterical Guild Launch user. While recent achievements are down for the moment, this is a corrective measure to help improve tracking for the 145 million achievements* we track in Guild Launch.
So while the display of recent achievements has been struck down, it will soon become more powerful than you can ever imagine**!
*real number provided to GL_Slater by people who actually know.
**unless you can imagine quite a bit. But it will still be better.
