Q. What is Initial DKP?

A. It's a way to import a bulk set of DKP from CSV or other delimited files. Initial DKP can be used as the starting value for the Rapid Raid pool or it can be used as the only values presented by the raid pool. We call the second option "Initial DKP Only". I'll discuss that more in a minute.

A2. This functionality for those of you using the EPGP Google code mod nearly duplicates, or does the same but better, the functionality of EPGPWeb.

Q. What can it be used for?

A. It can be used for various purposes. Such as:

  1. Importing DKP from another DKP system
  2. Importing DKP from an in-game mod
  3. Using a mod or other system for DKP tracking and then display it on the site.
  4. Importing data from the EPGP Google Code mod

Q. Do I have to use this functionality?

A. Not at all. If the above doesn't sound like something you need or care about, then just ignore the functionality and go have some fun with some other feature.

Q. What import methods or mods are supported?

A. Currently the following import methods are supported:

  1. Regular plain text Comma Seperated Values (CSV) or "Character Name,Earned,Spent"
  2. EPGP Mod (Google Code Version)
  3. DKPmon EPGP CSV Export
  4. DKPmon Flat DKP CSV Export

Q. So what is this "Initial DKP Only" option?

A. In the "Initial DKP Only" mod the only way that DKP can be changed is via the import. The boss values, item values, and adjustments in the system are ignored.

Why would you want to do this? Let's say you have a mod that you like for in-game DKP, but it doesn't have raid tracking, or we don't have a tracking method for getting it's DKP, but the mod does have a CSV export (which many do, or they can be easily implemented). What you can do is use your preferred in-game mod to track the DKP and use our raid tracker to track the items. Then, you import the CSV from the mod and the Raid Tracker file. The Raid Tracker file gets the Boss Kills and Loot onto your site and the CSV import sets the DKP to show on your site. This way with minimal effort you get alot more options for what mods you can use and you get the DKP to match your in-game mod easily.

There isn't a delete currently. You can reupload blank data.

How you re-upload blank data? I've tried, and it still doesn't work, I might not be doing in correctly.

You can set the DKP in the file you are uploading to 0s, that is what I meant by blank. There is a reset in the next release.
