re: FAQ: How Members Apply and Join Your Site

Having Members Join your Guild Site

This process it the same for members already in your guild in-game and for new members who would like to apply. Regardless of whether a user is a member in-game already or if they are applying to your guild via your site, every member must create a Guild Launch account and submit the guild application. The Guild Application is what allows you to approve them for member level access to the site.

Typical "Apply to Guild" Process Video

Watch more video games and play free games at WeGame.

There are two ways a user can join your guild.

1. Using a Launch Code
2. The application process

The Launch Code allows the user to be added to the guild and bypass the 'acceptance' step in the application process.

Existing Members

The best way to get existing members into your guild is to use a Launch Code.

A Launch Code is a password that allows an applicant to skip the application process and automatically join the guild. If the user does not use a launch code their application will have to be approved by a guild admin.

New Members

New members can use a launch code, if you give it to them, or they can go through the application process. If they go through the application process then their membership will have to be approved
by a guild admin.

The full process to get someone into the guild through the application process is:

1. Go to your guildsite URL. That is the URL in the browser window starting with "http://".
2. Click the "Apply to Guild" link on the left side.
3. Follow the Wizard and follow it's instructions.

If you are talking about the Launch Code, very easily. You set the "Launch Code" and let people know....when they apply to the guild they enter that and are automatically made members.

Very useful for guilds who already have established members and have just moved to Guild Launch or those branching off into another game and have more than one web site and want people to join easily.

I have a few new members in my guild, who already have a guildlaunch account from previous guilds. How do they apply to my guild?

They go to your site, login with their existing account, and then click the Apply to Guild link.

I see the Apply link on your site at the top of the left column.

Admin -> Members then under the Recruiting heading is a "Main Settings" link. It's there.

re: Receiving Applications in the mail

Postby Babeebu on Wed Nov 04, 2009 9:18 pm
So my guild site was just transferred to me ... I see that when people submit their application, that application goes to my email. Can I set who all gets that application in their mail? I think a whole bunch of guildies currently get that application in their mail and I want to reduce it to just me and the new GM.

If a bunch of people are getting applicant notifications then there will be a permission group that has the "Manage Applications" right under the Admin rights for the group. Anyone in that group will get a PM for new applicants.

When accepting an application you have the option to select "Raid Ready".

What exactly does this do?

I understand a character is raid eligable, but a user account?
